03 Aug A New Start
After several successful years with Forever Collage, I felt the time had come for a fresh chapter—a complete redesign not only of the shop but of how I connect with you, my community. While I’ve truly loved building and nurturing that platform, my creative focus has shifted. I’m now returning to my roots in fine art, and I’d love for you to join me on this new path.
Through this blog, I’ll be sharing more than just my artwork. This will be a space for stories, reflections, inspiration, and travel—an invitation into my world of creativity, exploration, and transformation.
Let Me Tell You a Bit About Myself
I grew up in a small village in the Netherlands, where I was always curious about the world beyond the fields and streets I knew. Even as a young girl, I dreamed of traveling, meeting new people, and learning from different cultures. At 16, I set off on my first big trip, spending several months traveling through the USA, Mexico, and Guatemala. That early experience sparked a lifelong passion for adventure.
Since then, I’ve wandered through Vietnam, Thailand, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Indonesia, India, Scotland—and of course, returned to Guatemala more than once. I was a free spirit, always chasing new stories and experiences.
Wherever I went, my sketchbook came with me. Drawing became my way of seeing the world more deeply. It helped me slow down and connect—with people, with nature, with myself. Capturing colors, light, textures, and fleeting moments through quick sketches and notes was a way to hold onto the soul of each place I visited.
Returning to Art
For many years, I ran my own creative agency, a journey full of meaningful work and exciting challenges. But after two decades, I felt a pull back to something more personal—something that had always lived quietly inside me: the desire to create art for its own sake.
So, I returned to art school. This time, with more life experience, more stories to tell, and a renewed sense of purpose. I studied across different disciplines and techniques, allowing myself the space to experiment and grow.
Now based in Spain—a country rich in history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes—I’ve found the perfect place to combine art and travel. Nature, animals, tribal cultures, and the open road continue to shape and influence my work every day.
My Style and Vision
My painting style is best described as abstract realism—a blend of expressive, transparent layers, bold brushstrokes, and vivid color. I aim to evoke emotion and energy, to spark curiosity and a sense of wonder in those who view my work.
Through my art, I hope to inspire you to stay open, be curious, and follow your heart—wherever it may lead.
Thank You for Being Here
This blog is more than a portfolio—it’s a window into the way I see and experience the world. I’m excited to share not only my art but also the stories behind it. Thank you for joining me on this journey. I can’t wait to see where it takes us.
